(Italia)Sulle Olimpiadi ci ha marciato il mondo, e il problema dei diritti è un problema globale non solo cinese...Almeno loro non sono ammantati di un'ipocrita democrazia. Forse la comunità mondiale dovrebbe rivedere molte cose!

Seppur con salari bassissimi, le Olimpiadi hanno fatto lavorare milioni di persone, e non credo che le abbiano dovute minacciare o frustare per questo.

Condivido anche il fatto delle "relocation": famiglie che sono state spostate dalla loro baracca in centro per nuovi appartament...ini in periferia.

Inoltre gli atleti, che vengono da famiglie povere della Cina, grazie alle medaglie vinte hanno risolto i problemi per loro e tutti i parenti (anche senza comprarsi il Porsche o il Ferriari come i calciatori italiani).

Fa molto trendy parlare, riparlare e appoggiare l'Arancione in queste occasioni... poi fra un mesetto, spenti i riflettori, tutti li ricorderanno solo per il film di Bred Pitt...

Games visitors party at Swiss House in Beijing

More than 123,700 visitors enjoyed themselves at the House of Switzerland in Beijing during the Olympic Games.

The venue, which opened on August 1, closed yesterday after playing host to athletes and celebrities from China and overseas over the past three weeks.

Roger Federer and Stanislas Wawrinka celebrated their gold medal win in men's doubles tennis at the venue on August 16, and Fabian Cancellara, gold medalist in the road cycling men's individual time trial and bronze medalist in the men's road race, celebrated his success there on August 13.

Even Swiss President Pascal Couchepin was on the guest list, which also included Jorg Schild, president of the Swiss Olympic Committee, Joseph S. Blatter, the president of FIFA, and Juan Antonio Samaranch, former president of the International Olympic Committee.

"The House of Switzerland became a major hot-spot during the Olympic Games," said Dante Martinelli, ambassador of Switzerland to China. "We are delighted that the House of Switzerland has been such a resounding success, exceeding our expectations and allowing more people to learn about Switzerland and experience Swiss culture."

The hospitality certainly impressed Cheng Bixuan, the 100,000th visitor to the House of Switzerland.

"Although I haven't yet had a chance to visit Switzerland, I was greatly impressed by my visit to the House of Switzerland. The music performances, beautiful images of Lucerne and the chance to sample delicious chocolate all left a deep impression on me. Switzerland will definitely be on my itinerary when I have a chance to visit Europe," said Cheng.

The Beijing venue covered 4,000 square meters and hosted more guests than visited the Swiss hospitality suite in Japan's Nagano for the 1998 Winter Olympic Games.
